How do the calling cards work?

Please use steps outlined below which are also listed on the back of the phone card

    1. Dial the access number in the city you are in, which is printed on the back of the phone cards.
    2. The card will welcome you and ask you to select the language you wish the card to talk to you in. eg press 1 for English, 2 for Chinese, 3 for Arabic etc.
    3. After selecting the language you will be asked for your PIN number which is a unique 12 digit number under the scratch out provided on the back of each card. Enter this PIN into your telephone. The card will inform you of your balance and ask you to dial the number you want to call. ie: Interstate Calls: Area code + Phone Number. International Calls: International Code (0011) + Country Code + City Code + Phone Number. ...back to top

What is a connection fee, or flag fall?

Some phone cards have a connection fee or flag fall which is a once off charge for each call made. This charge is applied once the destination party called answers the phone. If your talk time is usually quite long (more that 10 minutes) per call it may be worthwhile using cards with a once off connection fee such as Compass and Greek City. These cards usually have a lower per minute rate. If you tend to make shorter calls it may be worth using cards with no connection fee such as Click or South Asia Card. ...back to top

What is the difference between Local Call access and 1800?

C2 Comms recommend you use the local access numbers provided where possible. All the local access numbers are listed on the back of each card. The local carrier charges the local access's number cost i.e. roughly 20 cents from a home phone or 40 cents from a payphone per call. However, if you are not in a local access area, you may use our National access 1300 number (12c per minute) or 1800 number (18c per minute). If you are calling from a payphone you do not need to deposit any money. If you are calling from a home phone your local carrier will not charge you. ...back to top

Our cards can be used from any touch-tone phone, including fixed home phones, cordless phones public phones and mobile phones. Our cards can be used from hotels although we would recommend you check with the hotel staff as to whether a surcharge applies. The cards will not work if you are using an older style rotary dial phone. ...back to top

Can I call using your cards from other countries?

None of our cards can be used overseas to call back to Australia. We recommend you source a local calling card in the country you visit in order to call back home. Some calling cards offer international call back facilities, which allow you to ring from certain countries back to Australia. Calling rates on these cards can be much higher than the rates you would be able to get from the foreign local calling cards. ...back to top
